Thanks, man -- I appreciate it greatly
this is so unique. like so unique. i love it a lot and i will be following your work <3
the rawness of the voice reminds me of Kane West (Augustus of Kero Kero Bonito)
the cleanness of the vocals, and the key changes... also it's all in 5/8 which is hilarious lol
love it, keep doing ya thing because it's amazing and i also think you keep a lot of your accent in there? (australian i think? forgive me if i'm wrong. i'm from new zealand so that'll be pretty embarrassing if it's wrong lol)
you are not wrong about my accent, that was actually a conscious choice to keep my accent in there because id rather not be afraid to sound australian lmao-
thank you very much :D
OH THIS GOESSSSSSSSS... extremely professional mixing and vocals... really great... and the message is an important one too.... very well done!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you liked it!
I feel like the mixing could be made a little more "in your face" but it might just be the style. But WHOAAAAAA that COMPOSITIONNNNNN it more than makes up for everything else. Just how joyously competent and incredible your entire composition is here... so groovy and funky and jazzy and... just beyond. I love it. It's absolutely joyous.
I only WISH I could have composition skills like this. It's so glorious. Love it. Several modes throughout, key changes and just... UGH it's so good :D <3 Favourited and followed
Thanks for the comment/follow, and glad you enjoy! Mixing has always been a challenge for me so I'm happy to hear feedback. It's something I try to improve at with each successive track I make.
Really well-done! Super well produced. I like the candy vocals. I don't know what the original sounded like, so I had to search for it. That one was more like Electropop, Electroclash or New Rave or Dance-Pop. This is definitely more in the Digicore style stuff I think, and maybe some D&B? I don't know the genres too well but I like it. I might even like this version more than the original, just for how original it goes. Very cool! Favourited and followed :D
reject genre. embrace Amen Break
At first i was like “wait surely this is a remix because it features CMTEN how…” and then i did my research and this is a legit track! Sounds gorgeous and unique and so cool that you are working with people like CMTEN and SEBii, some of my favourite modern electronic artists. Nice reverbed out vocals and candy-like instrumentals and experimental production work. Keep up the awesome music <3
tysm!! <3
Uplifting breakcore or jungle? I like. The glitches are really nice. I wonder what glitch VST you're using? That rising up to 0:27... really nice. From 0:27 onwards it's just clusterf--- but in a really grand way. Then it cleans up and it has this really interesting vocal sample with the snare. It has an interesting cleanliness to it that's unusual, beside the glitched out drums.
The riffs at 0:55 onwards... the slow violin-type ones? I feel that's one of the best decisions you've made on this track. It provides a really slow-form progression that adds to the experience overall. Really nice.
1:25 The light arps coming through here are really delectable. I feel like I could eat them on a plate with some mashed potatoes, or if you don't like those, some greens, or some other shit that tastes nice. 1:55 The slow chords going over the top? It's even recalling Arca just a bit. I think it can continue to improve over time but for now, this is very exceptional. It's a full sound that you've crafted for yourself and you should be proud.
so you know i didn't use a glitch vst
i hand cut them and shifted the drums around to my liking
Glad you like the synths i made :)
Ooh! Cute. Is this for Bubbles from PowerPuff Girls? Clearly not, because you say that lore is coming soon in the description.
Wowwwww, this composition is delightful! This is really great. Wait- it's dubstep? I'm not... ready? Hmm... let's see.
Oh it's very nice and melodic dubstep. Really well-mixed! I love it. The melodies are really well-thought-out too. This is great!
The synths at 1:05 are really elevating it to another level. They're filling the ears left and right with some goodness.
1:25 Might actually be my favourite part of it so far. It sounds like Legend of Zelda type music. With the building up. Wow. Truly, wow. Amazing stuff. Appreciate this a LOT. There's a lot I wish I could do that's in this.
1:55 Neat bassline in this and the melodies. Ooh! This is a favourite, for sure. It's even some kind of 3/4 or 6/8 style waltz dubstep? So strange, and so intriguing. Appreciate this a lot. Thanks for making this, it's fantastic :)
Thank you very much for your comment! Zelda is a huge inspiration for me :D also yeah this is waltz Dubstep :))
This one has a gritty feeling to it. Really nice. It's really rough, ready to fight and groove. Reminds me of Mac DeMarco just a bit. Oh now at 00:25 there's these really echo-y guitars and pianos that are coming through. They're really smooth and delightful. Love that a lot. The bassline is particularly catchy too. Excellent. This would be great with some Mac DeMarco style vocals too. Really nice. Love it.
I just realised the description said that there's only guitar, drums and horns in here. So I guess I was the silly one for thinking there was pianos in here. The gats are so reverbed and echoed out that they sometimes sound like pads, which lends this nice depth to the proceedings. Real cute. Love it.
Thank you for your review and generous feedback :)
I love mangling my guitars, been posting here for nearly 20 years and it's something I am known for. The reverb is unhealthy ha. I can't wait to revise this and get lyrics on this.
what the fuck this is actually amazing. love ya, phospho. lyrics dark as anything. and i just remembered how unconventional your chords are. but there's some sort of screwing around quality to the lyrics despite the incredibly dark content that reminds me of a mac demarco or something (forgive if that's an insulting comparison, you're better than him i swear ;) )
love ya bud, hope you enjoyed the tacos (looks at watch) half a year ago. and you're doing good work.
Thanks, man! I recently got an SP404, so as soon as I figure out how to use it, I'll hopefully make some wild tracks with it
